WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As an Associate Product Manager, NPS Prism, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and all the Product team, Bain Partners, and the Proprietary Data Ventures group to develop and deliver a commercially successful product that serves key industries across various regions. Your role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, translating data into actionable insights for internal teams and clients, and maintaining strong organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities effectively. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting Product Development: Assist the Product Manager in developing and delivering new and existing NPS Prism instruments for subscription customers. 
  • Benchmarking Surveys: Design and execute new benchmarking survey instruments, defining data needs, primary research surveys, and sample requirements. 
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with research vendors to test surveys, manage quotas, and ensure data quality and relevance. 
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Analyze data and develop client-ready dashboards, collaborating with vendors and operations teams to ensure effective visualization of insights. 
  • Advanced Analytical Techniques Understanding: Interpret and collaborate with technical teams to apply data-driven models and advanced statistical analyses, including machine learning for verbatim analysis, and multivariate/logistic regressions.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external teams (Product, Operations, Commercial) to drive alignment and ensure effective collaboration across functions. 
  • Client Support & Consultation: Participate in client meetings to address data inquiries, guide clients on best practices for leveraging dashboards, and provide additional data analysis and methodology training as needed. 
  • Commercialization Support: Conduct analyses for proposals and support the product sales cycle by delivering product demos to potential clients. 
  • Product Delivery Enhancement: Refine and optimize the product delivery model, working with vendors, maintaining databases, and collaborating with support teams. 
  • Product Roadmap Contribution: Contribute to shaping the product roadmap, offering input on product vision, strategic priorities, and expanding into new industries and geographies. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other Bain benchmarking initiatives to ensure consistency in methodologies and delivery models across the organization. 
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest market research methodologies, statistical techniques, and database management best practices to continuously enhance NPS Prism. 
     

ABOUT YOU 

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree required  
  • 3+ years of experience in customer insights, primary market research, and/or analytics 
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in market research tools, data science, business intelligence, and advanced analytics platforms such as Alteryx and Tableau  
  • Ability to explain complex data - proficiency in performing KPI calculations, data manipulation, and interpreting analytical results  
  • Proven organizational skills to effectively manage multiple workstreams and priorities  
  • Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders across different levels of seniority and areas of expertise  
  • Ability to translate data into business insights using appropriate data engineering, analytics, and visualization applications  
  • Experience creating high-quality, audience-appropriate presentations to communicate insights effectively  
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to convey complex data and insights in a clear, engaging manner  
  • Self-starter mindset - comfortable working in a remote or hybrid team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution 

Preferred 

  • Background in consulting or market research (especially survey-based) preferred 
  • Experience leading projects and helping teams achieve goals 
  • Concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or Market Research is strongly preferred 
  • Master’s degree in quantitative discipline is a plus
