NPS Prism is 100% owned by Bain & Company, one of the top management consulting firms in the world and a company consistently recognized as one of the world's best places to work. We believe that diversity, inclusion, and collaboration are key to building extraordinary teams. We hire people with exceptional talents, abilities, and potential, then create an environment where you can become the best version of yourself and thrive both professionally and personally.
About the role
You'll work side by side with Product Specialists and Product Managers in a cross-functional Agile team, helping design and build our interactive platform from end to end. You'll also help make the product better over time, partnering with our Technical Product Managers and Tech Leads to shape new features and systems that make NPS Prism faster, more robust, and easier to trust. It's a role where you'll sharpen your technical craft while seeing the direct impact of your work on real clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build client-ready dashboards and run large-scale data analysis, with coaching from our Data Visualization and Data Engineering leads.
- Design new data workflows and analytical queries to support the launch of new product features and instances.
- Apply advanced statistical and data-mining techniques where they add value — for example, fraud analysis, sentiment analysis, regressions, and time-series analysis.
- Support team leads with problem-solving, hypothesis generation, research, and quality control.
- Communicate your findings clearly, explaining what the data means — and why it matters — to teammates and product leads.
- Own the quality of your work, keeping a zero-defect standard across your own workstreams and those you co-manage.
- Understand each client's needs and context, and help resolve complex issues on critical workstreams alongside Product Specialists and Product Managers.
- Provide ongoing support to subscription customers, such as additional data cuts and answering questions about the data and methodology.
- At least 1 year of experience working with data — big data, data visualization, data engineering, database management, or data science — in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Solid SQL skills, including writing and structuring queries against relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL). Python is a strong plus.
- Experience building data visualization dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or a similar tool, and translating business questions into the right calculations.
- Strong communication skills — you can take complex data and turn it into simple, clear insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or another technology-related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience building end-to-end automated data pipelines (enterprise tools, cloud-native services, or custom code).
- Comfort optimizing SQL queries for performance (e.g., reviewing indexes and query plans).
- Experience with ETL and data-prep tools such as Alteryx or KNIME.
- Experience with cloud-native data services and cloud-based ingestion/transformation (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Alteryx Server, Tableau Cloud).
- Experience with survey programming.
