WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This is an opportunity to support Bain’s expanding proprietary data ventures business, helping to build a new start-up at Bain to deliver the NPS Prism product, a market-leading customer experience benchmarking service. NPS Prism creates NPS and episode benchmarks by surveying very large numbers of customers in a given sector. Customers are asked to identify the companies with which they do business, declare their likelihood to recommend each provider, describe why, and answer a battery of additional questions designed to reveal experiences with specific episodes, as well as share of wallet, channel preference, and other important data.  NPS Prism offers rock-solid NPS benchmarks all the way to the episode level, the ability to determine the extent to which any given episode contributes to a company’s competitive differentiation, the value of improvement, and the ability to link performance to operational episode metrics. It is delivered through an interactive platform that allows subscribers to do their own analysis.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

In this role you will work closely with the Associate Product Managers, Product Managers to build and deliver a commercially successful product that spans core sectors across all regions.

The primary tasks of this role revolve around core product development working as part of a cross-functional Agile development team to design and develop NPS Prism’s interactive platform from end-to-end. This includes building and maintain automated data pipelines, product databases, data analysis applications and data visualization dashboards.

Another part of the role will revolve around the continuous improvement of the NPS Prism data processes, partnering with NPS Prism’s Technical Product Managers and Data Engineering team in the development of new functionalities and systems that make the product more robust and efficient.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Support the Product team in the development and delivery of new and existing NPS Prism instruments to subscription customers
    • Review and interpret data outputs (from Product Ops/Data Engineering teams) and transform them into actionable insights for product development and client use
    • Collaborate with Data Visualization and Data Engineering team members on dashboards and workflows — ensuring outputs are business-ready rather than building them end-to-end
    • Apply structured problem solving and analytical thinking to derive insights from complex datasets and link them back to product strategy and client needs
  • Partner with senior team members in hypothesis generation, research, quality control, and insight development for product decisions
  • Clearly communicate findings and implications to product managers and cross-functional stakeholders in a concise and business-oriented way
  • Ensure quality and accuracy across workstreams, taking ownership of review processes and proactively identifying potential issues
  • Understand client needs and context, and demonstrate ability to address complex questions by working closely with the Product Manager and Associate Product Manager
  • Support delivery excellence by ensuring timely, high-quality outputs through effective planning and coordination
  • Provide ongoing customer support for subscription customers, including additional data cuts, clarifying dashboards/outputs, and responding to questions on data or methodology
